3月24日，2023年德国电影展在北京百老汇电影中心开幕，德国电影协会主办，北京德国文化中心·歌德学院（中国）和百老汇影城协办，并得到了德国大使馆的支持。开幕式上，德国电影协会总经理西蒙娜·鲍曼女士（Simone Baumann）、德国电影协会中国代表安珂女士（Anke Redl）、北京德国文化中心·歌德学院（中国）院长欧彬先生（Robin Mallick）、德国驻华大使馆暂时期办吕帆博士（Frank Rueckert）以及德国电影展宣传大使黄尧女士表白了对此次影展顺利举行的祝贺。 安珂女士表示，“和往届一样，我们将在德国电影展中放映过去一年里最好的德国电影（这次是2021年至2022年的电影），这些电影在世界各地的电影节惹起了惊动，片单中有德国电影票房冠军，也有在德国被街谈巷议的作品。”此外，安珂女士还透露了下一届德国展将在年底举行。关于在奥斯卡颁奖礼上拿下四项大奖的《西线无战事》，她坦言会努力争取。
2023年德国电影展由安德里亚斯·德里森导演的 《库尔纳兹诉小布什》(Rabiye Kurnaz vs George W. Bush )作为开幕片拉开帷幕， 本片取得了柏林国际电影节主竞赛单元两项银熊奖。仰仗 《库尔纳兹诉小布什》取得最佳剧本奖的编剧莱拉·斯蒂勒经过视频向观众表示了问候。 4月2日，2 023年德国电影展闭幕式将在北京德国文化中心·歌德学院（中国）举行。德国电影展荣幸约请到了入围2023年柏林国际电影节的3部华语短片作品参与闭幕式。同时，也会增设与入围导演的对谈活动，欢送大家莅临参与。
本届德国电影展在去年12月因疫情缘由推迟至今年举行，我们与往年一样十分荣幸地约请到了三位资深电影研讨者及青年电影人——李迅、郑陆心源、沙丹出任影展的选片顾问，他们立足中德文化交流，衔接历史与当下，对本次展映的德国影片给出专业而独到的见解，从去年众多德国电影当选出了14部佳片与观众见面，将于3月24日至4月2日，在北京百老汇电影中心(万国城店)、北京百老汇影城(apm店)、北京德国文化中心·歌德学院（中国）中止 展映，详情可查看下方片单。
今年，德国电影展约请到著名演员黄尧女士出任“2023年德国电影展”中国大使。黄尧曾在2019年出演了白雪导演电影《过春天》，本片入围了第69届柏林电影节重生代青年单元。2022年，黄尧在电影《白塔之光》中饰演青年摄影师欧阳文慧，并仰仗此片入围第73届柏林电影节主竞赛单元。此外，黄尧主演的影视作品还包含《缄默的真相》《奇迹·笨小孩》《绝地追击》《鸣龙少年》等。
2023年，中德两国电影都迎来了春天，在刚刚过去的柏林国际电影节，本土电影大范围亮相，光是德国作为主制片国的入围影片 （包含短片）就有35部之多，更有12部德国参与制片的作品（包含电视剧）入选竞赛及各个展映单元。克里斯蒂安·佩措尔德导演的《红色天空》最终取得评审团大奖，安格拉·夏娜莱克导演编剧的《音乐》将最佳剧本奖收入囊中。
《红色天空》剧照 华语电影在本届柏林国际电影节也收获颇丰，张律导演、黄尧主演的电影《白塔之光》和刘健导演的动画电影《艺术学院》入围了主竞赛单元。在柏林电影节一切单元中，华语片共入围了6部长片、9部短片和1部电视剧。在今天的开幕式上，也有多位入围电影的主创莅临现场。
