“缘分”英语怎样说？

＃1. Fate

• Fate (名词): 命运、缘分

  
  

Fate brings people together no matter how far apart they maybe: 有缘千里来相会

It was fate that we met: 我们遇见，真的是缘分

• Fateful (形容词)

  
  

On that fateful day, you walked into my life: 命运的布置，那一天你走入了我的生活

On that fateful day, I received a special phone call: 命运的布置，我收到了一个特别的电话

＊Fate这个词，能够用来形容友谊、恋情、际遇等各种范畴＊

＃2. Destiny

• Destiny (名词): 命运、缘分

  
  

• Destined (形容词)

  
  

Destiny和fate的意义很像。但是用法上有些区别：

• My fate is in your hands: 我的命运控制在你手上 （判决、审问）

  
  

• You're my destiny: 你是我命中一定的人 （浪漫）

  
  

• This is my destiny: 这一定是我的命运 （人生、事业）

  
  

＃3. Serendipity

• Serendipity (名词): 缘分，很多偶尔、偶遇组成的缘分

  
  

• Serendipitous (形容词)

  
  

这两个词有点难读。大家认真听Adam读几遍：

Serendipity: /srn'dpti/

Serendipitous: /srn'dpts/

Serendipity这个词更强调偶尔性：

If you keep running into thesame person in different places: 假如你不时在不同中央巧遇一个人，能够说：

It's so serendipitous! 我们真有缘、真巧！

这个用法不局限于浪漫的偶遇。

Serendipity was also the name of a romantic comedy: 多年前的一部浪漫喜剧，就叫“缘分天一定”

It's also the name of a dinerin New York famous for its ice cream sundae and banana split: 纽约有一家著名的小餐馆也叫Serendipity，冰淇淋圣代和香蕉船特别有名

这部电影还在同名饭店取景呢！

Jenny说几次去纽约，都想去这家饭店，可惜不时没缘分。

没缘分去一个中央，英语怎样说？

You wouldn't use any of the words above: 不会用到上面说的这些词

The most common and natural expression is: 最常用、最自然的表白措施是

I didn't have the chance to go.

很口语吧！

但也能够用更笼统、浪漫的说法：

• It wasn't in the stars

  
  

• It wasn't in the cards

  
  

#4. Stars and the universe

英语也常用到宇宙、天象来描画缘分：

• It was in the stars/it was written in the stars: 有缘、上天的布置

  
  

• When the stars are lined up/when the stars align: 同上

  
  

• The universe is trying to tell you something: 宇宙在给你释放信息

#5. Karma

这个来自佛教的词也在英语里普遍运用：

Karma: 因缘、因果

还有一个更直观的表白：

What goes around comes around

不同场景的缘分

Love: 爱人世的缘分

• We're destined to be together: 命中一定我们要在一同

  
  

• It's fate: 这是命运的布置

  
  

Friendship: 朋友间的缘分

朋友间的缘份，不太用到上述说的fate, destiny这些词；

而是十分口语的：

• We reallyclicked: 我们特别有缘、一见钟情

  
  

• We hit it offright away: 同上

  
  

• We became quick friends: 同上

  
  

Things: 和东西、物件的缘分

我们平常买东西，大到房子，小到手表，似乎也爱用缘分表白。英语能够说：

• It's meant to be/it's meant for me：是你的总是你的
